21 Weeks, 1 Day 10/20/2009

I just got done (well, more like 4 hours ago) with my 20 week ultrasound. I am 21w1d, but this was the only time i could get in, a week late, oh well. ANYWAYS, it went REALLY well! We had it done at Hoag Imaging Center in Newport Beach, CA, just down the street from Hoag Hospital. It was sooooo amazingly nice, and if you're in the OC beach area, I strongly suggest this place. The UT doing my sono. was amazingly nice, she went over EVERYTHING with me, explained everything... I had my hubby, my mom, my MIL and SIL in the room, and she was talking with all of us, laughing and whatnot (we're all kinda goofy and silly, haha)... she got quite a few good shots, printed them off for me in various sizes, and even burned me a CD of the images. She wasn't supposed to do that, but figured I'd want it, so she did it anyways... how nice is that? Also, thought my EDD is 3/1/10, she said based on the size and strength of everything, she (theoretically) moved my EDD to 2/25/10, though she said my doc probably wouldn't move the date up. Either way that means he's healthy and doing well! It was SO AWESOME feeling him move and seeing him move on screen at the same time, such a trip!! I really got some great pics, check them out in the Photos area!!

All in all, it was a really good experience, and it was SO GOOD seeing my baby again after a month! He has changed sooo much, he's such a little human now! soo cute. I'm so in love! lol, i can't wait to get my 3D in December...

other random stuff... today is the first day I was woken up from him kicking... SO, the fun begins. now i really do need to get sleep whenever i can! not to mention i have been wickedly tired, ALL DAY... ugh, i didn't even want to go to the ultrasound today, i was just THAT tired, BUT i'm so glad i did! hehe

HAHA!! I did this random "Predict your Birth Experience" online. I answered really random questions that you wouldn't think have anything to do with the baby... like, do I paint my nails, what smell do I like better, what time was i born, what's my favorite color... just a bunch of random questions. It gave me a prediction of this:

The day you deliver, outside will be rainy. Your baby will arrive in the early evening. After a labor lasting approximately 9 hours, your child, a boy, will be born. Your baby will weigh about 6 pounds, 15 ounces, and will be 17-1/2 inches long. This child will have medium green eyes and fluffy auburn hair.

This is the link for it: Pregnancy&Baby

How funny is that?! I love it. :) Hopefully the only thing wrong will be the 9 our labor! Holy cow!! But everything else sounds wonderful to me :)

Melody

I had another doctor's appointment yesterday... I got to hear Archer's heartbeat for the first time! It was SO LOUD but so steady and strong... the doctor said it was great, that he's got a very healthy heart, which is SUCH a relief, knowing how much heart problems run in both sides of our family.

Every night before bed I spend some time holding my belly and feeling for his movements. I felt him move for the first time from the outside last night. I only felt it because I could feel it on the inside as well as the outside, but it was still very light. I tried to get Mike to feel it, but he couldn't. :( Still, soon! If I can already feel him moving from the outside, Mike will feel him soon :)

The weather is finally cooling down, which is definitely helping my comfort level. I always do better in chilly weather... those are my thriving days, so I like to get things done while it's chilly outside. Maybe I'll be ready to take care of some necessities around here finally!

I can't believe I'm almost halfway done with the pregnancy. It's ridiculous. It happened SO FAST (like everyone tells me) but I'm not looking forward to the last month, I heard that's the most uncomfortable. I just am soooo looking forward to having our baby here in the world to love and care for. We're both so excited. I can't wait to meet my baby!!!

Love,
Melody
